Join us! Support Montana youth as they head to the Supreme Court in Held v. State of Montana!

Oral arguments in Held v. State of Montana will be heard before the Montana Supreme Court on July 10, 2024, at 8:30 am - 10:40 am MDT in Helena at the Joseph P. Mazurek Justice Building, 215 N. Sanders.

Last summer, we made history when Judge Seeley ruled in favor of the 16 youth Plaintiffs. This landmark ruling enshrined science-based protections for children’s most fundamental rights into law. Held v. Montana was the nation’s first, winning, youth-led constitutional climate lawsuit!

As we expected, the State appealed the historic win to the Montana Supreme Court. On July 10, attorneys for the youth plaintiffs will have the opportunity to underscore the importance of upholding Judge Seeley’s landmark ruling at oral argument.
